When times are rough, there's nothing better than a warm bowl of soup. Even though the weather has been a treat, sometimes you just need something that is the equivalent of an edible hug. This soup was based on a thai soup called Tom Yum (hot and sour soup). It's different from the chinese version with the same name...as it is much thinner and a lot more flavourful. It brings together the perfect balance of sour with spicy. We used a tom yum paste that we picked up from an oriental market, and added green onions, mushrooms, sweet thai basil, and baby bok choy.
This was a good, wholesome meal and I look forward to having the leftovers when we get back from our weekend trip. I'm sure it will be just as comforting then, and we'll probably need the warm hug more than ever...
Till then...

Looks great Mony and Dina, Calgary Flames have won again and the series is tied. How about a hug for that and some comfort food for Kenny.
